Woohoo!

You Are Homer Simpson

You're just an ordinary, all-American working Joe...
With a special fondness for pork rinds and donuts.

You will be remembered for: your little "isms" and philosophies on life
Your life philosophy: "Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals ... except the weasel."

Not what I would call 'right on the money', but not too far off either. I have a fondness for pork rinds and probably have my "isms". Besides, who doesn't like Homer?

Ideal Candidate

Here is a quick rundown of the survey for choosing your ideal candidate. I figured I would also post my stance on those issues.

Yep... I'm one of those right wing nutcases. Too bad there wasn't a slot in there about being 'anti-hippie'....

Candidate Match - This Confirms It

I bumped into a link on GOP and College about matching your ideal candidate for 2008 at VA Joe.

I've been a Fred Thompson supporter since reading some of his work at TownHall.com and some of the great Fred Facts at IMAO. After a quick survey of major issues, my sentiments on them, and how important they were, these were the results.

The percentages for the rest of the pack are:

Duncan Hunter (R) - 93.55%
Mitt Romney (R) - 93.55%
Sam Brownback (R) - 80.65%
Mike Huckabee (R) - 77.42%
John McCain (R) - 77.42%
Tom Tancredo (R) - 77.42%
Rudy Giuliani (R) - 74.19%
John Cox (R) - 70.97%
Ron Paul (R) - 54.84%
Hillary Clinton (D) - 38.71%
Bill Richardson (D) - 38.71%
Joseph Biden (D) - 35.48%
Christopher Dodd (D) - 35.48%
John Edwards (D) - 35.48%
Barack Obama (D) - 35.48%
Mike Gravel (D) - 16.13%
Dennis Kucinich (D) - 9.68%

I'll post up my survey there after work tonight. Check out the survey if you haven't already.

Light Posting....

I'm sorry about the light posting. I have some new content on the way. It's good, too! I swear!

Lately, the Monday thru Friday 4-2:30am shifts have been leaving me with only time for wifey, chores, and reading / commenting other blogs. I have to put in an 8 hour shift on a Saturday, too. That means that if I've been commenting or visiting your blog, you must rule.

August 28th - Buy Ammo Day!

Don't forget that this Tuesday, August 28th, is Buy Ammo day!

Why buy ammo you ask?

Do you need a reason I ask?

Just as I figured... no reason needed.

Don't have a gun? Buy ammo for a friend in need. Maybe keep a couple rounds for yourself, even just to display. Carry a couple .45 rounds in your pocket. That way, hippies and gun grabbers will know to fear you when you're going through your change to buy a soda.

You could even buy a brick of ammo, and then use THAT as an excuse to buy that gun you've always wanted.

Happy shooting everybody!

Truisms from Ronald Reagan

"Here is my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose."

"The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant. It's just that they know so much that isn't so."

"Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the US was too strong."

"I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the US Congress."

"The Taxpayer: That is someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination."

"Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other."

"The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government program."

"It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first."

"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

"No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidible as the will and moral courage of free men and women."

"If we ever forget that we're a one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."
